I just picked up a Bel 980 on ebay a few weeks ago. I have tested it against my Whistler 1788, XTR 280 and 1730. I came across a speed sign shooting K band radar. I figure this would be a great test and made a few passes. The Bel 980, Whistler 1788 & XTR 280 alerted two miles before the sign. The cheapo 1730 alerted one mile before. I am impressed with the Bel 980 and I am still testing it.
