Also, did you check the speaker for continuity? To check, simply unplug the speaker from its jack on the circuit board and then measure the resistance between the speaker's positive and negative terminals. The speaker's impedance is 32 Ohms. A voltmeter should show a resistance which is very close to this value. If the speaker shows zero or nearly zero Ohms, then you will have to send in your 9500i since the speaker created a dead short which has damaged the 9500i. If the speaker shows either a much higher resistance or infinite resistance, then its voice coil is simply blown. |
