a friend of mine took his V1 and bench tested it discovering the case temperature rose to over 100 degrees. This was in an air conditioned house! The V1 runs hot even in the shade. I can't imagine the sun would be good for the unit but V1 techs say it is designed for this environment so it has no effect on performance.
