Max sensitivity for I/O is very important, but if max sensitivity more than triples you falses you will most likely ignore the I/O. unless of course its KA or Laser, which should be ridiculously sensitive no matter what.
I think some of my point is (sounds crazy) that if a RD has a 2mi sensitivity and another RD has superior filtering with just slightly less sensitivity (1&3/4mi) the RD with less sensitivity and less falses will save you.
“2mi RD” will false 6 times on rout "A" with a LEO I/O everyone 2mi away. Because of the frequent falses the driver needs to analyze each False and has become slightly numb to the alerts, so the 1/4mi edge over the other RD is lost.
“1&3/4mi RD” will false 2 times on rout "A" with a LEO I/O everyone 2mi away. Because the driver can react instantly and not analyze the many different falses on rout "A" he is able to react immediately.
There may also be over confidence by the “2mi RD” user. |
