Thumbs down Re: WSP Leo's think they are above the law to right tickets...

I totally agree he did something illegal, and just because he is a Law Enforcement Officer doesn't give him any right to, "Break" the law to, "Make" the law. It was highly morally wrong, and the officer knew he was breaking the law as soon as he unscrewed the plates. He just thought i'll get that speeder. What he neglected to realize in his utter lack for professionalism, and tact, and respect for public decency is that he was also wrong for doing what he did, I shouldn't say neglected to realize as this officer knew darn well what he was doing, and should be punished accordingly. He is no better than you, or me out there; and also has to abide by the Law's of the roadway. For example the officer I saw from another town that looked down and was speeding, and wrote himself a citation for speeding in a school zone. Now thats Professionalism and Tact. Not to mention as we used to say in the Army, "Integrity." He showed utmost level's of integrity by issueing himself a citation as well. He knows the laws more than anybody else out there, as he is a Law Enforcement officer. Thus, he has absolutely no excuse for his actions, and should be reprimanded accordingly.
