On the k band save w/ the "original" 8500, I got maybe a 1/2 mile (but my eyes saw him first). On the ka 35.5 (very deadly ka band) save, I got maybe 1/4 mile w/ the X50. On one trip to San Antonio out on I10 I came over a hill and saw a slick top Crown Vic in on-coming traffic way in the distance. I kind of thought he looked like DPS so I coasted down and tapped the brakes. As he got closer I could see he was merging to the left land then BAM full Ka. I could tell he saw me smoking over the hill and was positioning for the IO strike and the u-turn across the median but not that day. Then about 15 minutes later there he is again trying to pace me from behind. Once again. Not his day.
