Re: Just Recieved Whistler Pro 78 Radar Detector Caution falls under the SWS (safety warning system) and most likely isn't used where you live. You might check in the users manual to see if you can turn SWS off. Pulse is the same thing as I/O (Instant On) radar. To sum it up, I/O is when the police officer puts his radar gun in a "hold" mode. This is done by turning off the radar beam but still keeping the radar gun on. Once you get within a certain range of the beam, the officer turns the radar beam on quickly and then off. This is what "PULSE" is. When pulse comes up on the display of the pro 78, I WOULD SLOW DOWN! As far as a ka band source you go by every day, it is probably a false alarm. Some falses come from Banks/Credit Unions. I have a Credit Union locally here which I get a false on ka band on almost every one of my different rd's in which I run. |
